Choosing a ring which gives the perfect fit can be tricky. It’s not just the finger (or thumb!) you need to consider, you also need to consider the thickness and width of the ring itself. The ring size for a wide chunky ring will be different from that of a slim stacker ring (normally between half and one full size).

The best way to find your ring size is to therefore use a ring sizer. These can be bought online or you can pop into your local jeweller who will be able to measure your finger size for you. For accuracy, use a slim ring sizer for rings up to 4mm in thickness or width, and a wide ring sizer for more chunky heavier rings.

Alternatively, you can measure the internal diameter of a ring you already own or you can wrap a piece of paper around your finger, making a mark where the ends meet. This will tell you the internal circumference of the ring. You then need to divide this figure by 3.14 to give you the internal diameter. Once you have the internal diameter you can then look up the appropriate ring size using a conversion chart. In the UK, ring size is based on letters.

The best way to find the perfect bangle size is with a bangle sizer. As with rings, these can be bought online or you can pop into your local jeweller who will be able to measure your wrist size for you.

For a completely closed bangle e.g. a silver “slave” type bangle, you can measure the inside diameter of a bangle you already own or with a piece of paper or string, you can measure the circumference of your hand whilst bending the thumb to touch your little finger (measuring across the knuckles). To work out the inside diameter, divide this measurement by 3.14 and choose a bangle that is slightly wider.

Small Bangle: Circumference 19cm | Inside Diameter 60mm

Medium Bangle: Circumference 21cm | Inside Diameter 65mm

Large Bangle: Circumference 23cm | Inside Diameter 70mm

Custom width bangles e.g. extra large, can also be made.

​Cuff bangles, being oval and having a gap at the back, are sized slightly differently. Instead of measuring the hand across the knuckles, measure the circumference at the wrist.

Medium Cuff Bangle: Circumference 17cm | Inside Diameter 58mm

Large Cuff Bangle: Circumference 18cm | Inside Diameter 61mm
